Walking
From the center of Nakhon Si Thammarat, head south towards Piyamit Alley. You can start from the famous Wat Phra Mahathat Woramahawihan, which is a well-known landmark. Walk southeast on Thakhian Road until you reach the intersection with Piyamit Alley. Turn left onto Piyamit Alley. Continue walking straight for about 1.5 kilometers. The Ancient Wall will be on your right at the coordinates CXH7+4X4, Khlang, Mueang Nakhon Si Thammarat District. Look for the historical markers along the way that indicate you are nearing the site.
Bicycle
Rent a bicycle from one of the local rental shops in the city center. Start your journey at the main square and head south. Follow Thakhian Road until you reach the Piyamit Alley intersection. Turn left onto Piyamit Alley and cycle for approximately 1.5 kilometers. The Ancient Wall will be on your right, and you can park your bicycle nearby. Make sure to stop and enjoy the scenic views along the way.
Tuk-Tuk
To reach the Ancient Wall, you can hail a tuk-tuk from your current location in Nakhon Si Thammarat. Tell the driver the destination as 'Ancient Wall on Piyamit Alley.' The ride will take around 10-15 minutes depending on traffic. The tuk-tuk will drop you off right in front of the site. Make sure to negotiate the price before starting your journey.
Public Transport (Songthaew)
Locate a songthaew (shared taxi) that heads towards Khlang. You can catch one at the main transport hub in the city center. Inform the driver that your destination is the Ancient Wall on Piyamit Alley. The fare is usually very affordable. Once you arrive at your stop, walk a short distance to the site. Keep an eye out for local signs directing you to the Ancient Wall.
