If you are driving from Khon Kaen, take Highway 2 (the Mittraphap Road) heading northeast. Continue for approximately 60 km until you reach the intersection at the town of Kalasin. Take a right turn onto Highway 2299, which will lead you directly to Phu Phra Forest Park. The park is about 40 km from the intersection in Kalasin, and you should see signs for Phu Phra Forest Park. The total drive from Khon Kaen should take around 1.5 to 2 hours, depending on traffic.

Public Transportation
From Khon Kaen, you can take a bus to Kalasin. Buses depart from the Khon Kaen bus terminal. The journey takes about 1.5 hours and costs around 100-150 THB. Once you arrive at Kalasin bus terminal, you can take a local songthaew (shared taxi) to Phu Phra Forest Park. Make sure to confirm with the driver that they are heading to Phu Phra. The fare for the songthaew should be around 50-70 THB. The songthaew can take approximately 30 minutes to reach the park.

If you prefer more flexibility, consider renting a car in Khon Kaen. There are several rental services available at the airport and within the city. After renting, follow the same route as described for driving from Khon Kaen. Renting a car typically costs around 800-1500 THB per day, depending on the vehicle model.
