Getting There

    From the city of Ubon Ratchathani, head south on Highway 24 towards Si Sa Ket. After approximately 100 km, take the exit onto Highway 221 towards Mukdahan. Continue on Highway 221 for about 70 km until you reach the intersection with Highway 213. Turn left onto Highway 213 and follow it for about 30 km. Then, take a right onto Highway 24, which leads you across the border into Laos. Continue until you reach Vat Phou, located at RRXG+5X3, Muang Champassak, Laos. Please ensure you have the necessary travel documents for crossing the border into Laos.

    Start your journey from Ubon Ratchathani Bus Terminal. Take a bus heading to Pakse, Laos. The bus ride typically takes around 6-8 hours, so plan accordingly. Upon arriving at Pakse, you can hire a tuk-tuk or taxi to take you to Vat Phou, which is about 30 km away. The fare for the tuk-tuk is usually around 200,000 LAK (approximately $20 USD). Confirm the price with the driver before starting your journey.

    From Khon Kaen, take a train to Ubon Ratchathani. Once you arrive in Ubon Ratchathani, head to the bus terminal and take a bus to Pakse, Laos.
