If you're driving from Chiang Mai, take Route 107 heading towards Lampang. Continue on Route 1 (Phaholyothin Road) until you reach Phrae. Once in Phrae, follow local signs to Long District. From Long District, follow the signs for Erawan Cave. The cave is located near the coordinates 18.0370831, 99.9415809. There is no entrance fee to the cave itself, but you may need to pay for parking.
Public Transportation - Bus
From Chiang Mai, take a bus from the Arcade Bus Station to Phrae. Buses run frequently and the journey takes about 3-4 hours. Once you arrive in Phrae, you can take a local songthaew (shared taxi) towards Long District. Inform the driver that you want to go to Erawan Cave. The fare for the songthaew is usually around 50-100 THB, depending on the distance. The cave is located near the coordinates 18.0370831, 99.9415809.
Public Transportation - Train
Travel by train from Chiang Mai to Phrae. However, there are no direct trains to Phrae, so you will need to take a train to Lampang first and then catch a bus to Phrae. Once in Phrae, similar to the bus option, you can take a songthaew to Erawan Cave. Keep in mind that train schedules can vary, and you may need to check in advance. The total cost will depend on the train and bus fare.
