If you are traveling by car from Chiang Mai, head south on Route 11 until you reach Route 1. Take Route 1 south towards Bangkok. After about 700 km, take the exit for Samut Prakan and follow Sukhumvit Road (Route 3). The Ancient City will be located on your right at 296/1 Sukhumvit Rd, Bang Pu Mai, Mueang Samut Prakan District, Samut Prakan 10280. There is parking available at the site.

Public Transportation (Bus)
From Chiang Mai, take a bus to Bangkok at the Chiang Mai Bus Terminal. The journey takes about 10-12 hours. Once in Bangkok, head to the Mo Chit Bus Terminal and take a bus to Samut Prakan. The bus journey will take around 1-2 hours. After arriving in Samut Prakan, you can take a taxi or a local songthaew (shared taxi) to The Ancient City, which is about 15 minutes away.

Take a train from Chiang Mai to Bangkok. The journey takes approximately 12-14 hours. After arriving at Hua Lamphong Station in Bangkok, you can take the MRT subway to Bang Sue Station and then transfer to a commuter train heading to Samut Prakan. Once you arrive at Samut Prakan, take a taxi or songthaew to The Ancient City, which is about 15 minutes away. Ensure to check train schedules and book tickets in advance as they can fill up quickly.
