Getting there

Walking

If you are in Jomtien Beach, you can reach Dongtan Beach by walking. From the main beach area of Jomtien, head south along the beach promenade. Follow the beachfront path and keep walking for about 15-20 minutes. You will pass several beachside restaurants and vendors. Dongtan Beach is located at the southern end of Jomtien Beach, and you'll know you’ve arrived when you see the quieter stretch of sand with fewer crowds.

Songthaew (Shared Taxi)

Another option is to take a songthaew, which is a shared taxi service. You can catch a songthaew on Thappraya Road, which runs parallel to Jomtien Beach. Look for a songthaew with a sign indicating it's heading to 'Dongtan Beach' or 'Pratumnak'. The fare is usually around 10-20 THB per person. Inform the driver of your destination, and they will drop you off at the entrance to Dongtan Beach. The ride will take approximately 5-10 minutes depending on traffic.

Bicycle Rental

If you prefer a more active mode of transportation, consider renting a bicycle. There are several rental shops along Jomtien Beach where you can rent a bike for around 50-100 THB for a few hours. Once you have your bike, cycle south along the beach road. It’s a pleasant ride, and you can enjoy the scenery along the way. Dongtan Beach is approximately 2 km from the main beach area, and you should arrive in about 10-15 minutes.
