Car
If you are traveling by car, start your journey from the nearest town, which is Phu Hin Rong Kla National Park. From there, take Route 12 heading east towards the town of Lom Sak. After approximately 20 kilometers, turn left onto Route 201 and continue for about 30 kilometers until you reach the junction for Route 203. Turn right and follow this road for another 25 kilometers. Phou Phaang will be on your right, marked by a small sign. Ensure your vehicle is suitable for mountainous terrain as the roads can be steep and winding.

If you prefer public transportation, take a bus from Phitsanulok to Lom Sak, which costs around 200 THB and takes about 2 hours. Once you arrive in Lom Sak, you can hire a songthaew (a shared taxi) for about 150 THB per person to take you to the base of Phou Phaang. The songthaew will drop you off at the nearest point to the mountain where you can start your hike. Be prepared for a short trek uphill, as the trail to the summit may take around 1-2 hours depending on your fitness level.
