From anywhere in Phuket, make your way to the Phuket Bus Station located in the heart of Phuket Town. Once there, look for the bus service labeled 'Phang Nga', which runs regularly to Phang Nga province. You will need to purchase a ticket to Takdat, as Khao Chang is located in this area. The bus ride should take about 1.5 to 2 hours. Upon reaching Takdat, you can ask the bus staff to drop you off at a suitable location nearby Khao Chang or use a local taxi or motorbike taxi to cover the remaining distance.

Songthaew (Shared Taxi)
Head to the nearest Songthaew stop in Phuket. You can catch a Songthaew from various points in the city, especially from areas like Patong Beach or Kata Beach. Inform the driver that you're going to Takdat in Phang Nga. The fare may vary, but it's usually inexpensive. The journey will take approximately 1.5 hours. Once you arrive in Takdat, you may need to hire a local taxi or motorbike taxi to reach Khao Chang, as it's a bit remote.

If you're starting from a popular area such as Patong Beach or Kata Beach, you can find motorbike taxis easily. Negotiate a fare with the rider to take you to Takdat, Mueang Phang-nga District. The ride will take around an hour, depending on traffic. Once you reach Takdat, you can either walk or find another motorbike taxi to take you closer to Khao Chang.
