Walking
If you're starting your journey from Phuket Old Town, head towards Thalang Road. Walk straight until you reach the intersection with Yaowarat Road. Turn left onto Yaowarat Road and continue walking until you reach the traffic lights at the intersection with Phang Nga Road. Cross the intersection and continue on Phang Nga Road. You will see Phuket City Gate ahead on your right, just before the entrance to the old town.
Tuk-Tuk
Find a nearby tuk-tuk stand, or hail one on the street. Inform the driver you want to go to Phuket City Gate. The driver will take you through the streets of Phuket City. Keep an eye out for landmarks such as the Sino-Portuguese buildings and local markets along the way. The tuk-tuk will drop you off right at the entrance to Phuket City Gate.
Public Bus
Depending on your location, take a local bus (Songthaew) that heads towards Phuket Town. Look for the route that passes through the city center. Inform the conductor that you want to get off at Phuket City Gate. The bus will stop at a nearby location, and from there, you can follow the signs to reach the gate within a short walk.
Bicycle
If you have rented a bicycle, start from your accommodation and head towards the main roads leading to Phuket Town. Follow the directions to Thalang Road, and from there, navigate towards Phang Nga Road. Look for the prominent structure of Phuket City Gate as you approach. There are bike racks available for you to park your bicycle once you arrive.
