Getting There

• Bus

  From Trat, head to the bus terminal located in the heart of the city. Look for a bus heading to Koh Chang, which is a popular destination and should have routes available throughout the day. The bus ride will take about 30-45 minutes depending on traffic. Once you arrive at the Koh Chang pier, take a ferry to Koh Chang Island. The ferry ride lasts about 30 minutes. After disembarking, you can find songthaews (shared taxis) at the pier. Board a songthaew and ask the driver to take you to Kai Bae Beach, which is the nearest point to the viewpoint. The songthaew ride should take around 15-20 minutes. Once you reach Kai Bae Beach, you can either walk or take a short hike to the viewpoint, which is located a bit up the hill from the beach.

• Motorbike Taxi

  If you prefer a quicker option, from Trat you can take a motorbike taxi directly to the ferry terminal. Once you arrive at the Koh Chang pier, follow the same steps as above to take the ferry to Koh Chang Island. After crossing the ferry, you can hire another motorbike taxi to take you directly to Kai Bae Beach. The ride from the ferry terminal to the beach takes about 15-20 minutes. After arriving at Kai Bae Beach, you may need to walk to the viewpoint, as it is a short hike away from the beach area.

• Bicycle Rental

  For an adventurous and eco-friendly option, you can rent a bicycle in Trat before heading to Koh Chang. After arriving at Koh Chang via the ferry, you can ride your bicycle to Kai Bae Beach. This journey may take about 30-40 minutes depending on your cycling speed. Upon reaching Kai Bae Beach, you will need to park your bicycle and hike up to the viewpoint. This option allows you to explore the island at your own pace.
