Getting There

• Walking

  From the Lucaya area, head towards the beach by walking down to the main road, which is called Royal Palm Way. Walk along Royal Palm Way until you reach the intersection with the highway, which is the main road connecting Freeport and the other parts of Grand Bahama. Turn left onto the highway and continue walking for about 20 minutes. You will pass by several hotels and shops along the way. Make sure to walk on the side of the road where there’s a pedestrian path for safety. After about 1 mile, look for signs indicating Brandt Bonfire Beach or the nearby local parks.

• Cycling

  If you prefer biking, you can rent a bicycle from one of the local shops in Lucaya. Once you have your bike, start at the Lucaya Marketplace and cycle down Royal Palm Way. Keep cycling straight until you reach the intersection with the highway, then turn left. Follow the highway for about 1 mile, keeping an eye out for signs that will lead you to Brandt Bonfire Beach. The ride should take around 15-20 minutes, and it’s a nice way to enjoy the surroundings.

• Public Transportation

  To reach Brandt Bonfire Beach using public transportation, you can take a local bus from Lucaya. Head to the nearest bus stop, which is located near the Lucaya Marketplace. Make sure to ask the driver if they are going towards Freeport. Once on the bus, inform the driver that you want to get off at the stop nearest to Brandt Bonfire Beach. The bus ride will take approximately 15-20 minutes, and from there, you may need to walk for about 10-15 minutes to reach the beach. Look for signs or ask locals if you are unsure about the direction.
