Getting There

• Public Bus

  From downtown Nassau, head to the nearest bus stop on Bay Street. Look for a 'jitney' bus (a small public bus) heading west. You can identify them by their colorful exteriors and the 'Nassau' sign in the front window. Board the bus and pay the fare (usually around $1.25). Stay on the bus until you reach the 'Cable Beach' area. Once you arrive at Cable Beach, get off the bus and walk towards the beach. Belle Plage is located directly on West Bay Street, just a short walk away from the main road. You should see signs directing you towards the beach access.

• Taxi

  If you prefer a more direct route, you can take a taxi from your location in Nassau. Simply hail a taxi from the street or ask your hotel to call one for you. Tell the driver you want to go to 'Belle Plage on West Bay Street.' The ride should take approximately 15-20 minutes, depending on traffic. Make sure to confirm the fare before getting in, as taxis in Nassau do not have meters.

• Walking

  If you're staying close to the area, you can walk to Belle Plage. Head towards West Bay Street and continue walking west. Keep an eye out for landmarks like the British Colonial Hilton hotel, which is located along the way. As you approach the beach, look for signs that indicate Belle Plage. The walk can take between 30-45 minutes, depending on your starting point, so wear comfortable shoes and stay hydrated.
