Walking
Start at the Bakau Fish Market. From the market, head east towards the main road (Kairaba Avenue). Cross over to Kairaba Avenue and head north. Continue walking for about 1.5 kilometers until you reach the junction with the Serrekunda Highway. At this point, you’ll see signs for Serrekunda. Turn left onto the Serrekunda Highway and walk along it for approximately 1 kilometer. Keep an eye out for the signs pointing towards Nature Trail. Once you reach the intersection with Wandelpad, turn right. The entrance to Nature Trail will be on your left-hand side.

Bicycle
If you have access to a bicycle, start from the Bakau Fish Market. Cycle east towards Kairaba Avenue. Once you reach Kairaba Avenue, head north for about 1.5 kilometers. After crossing the main intersection, continue cycling on the Serrekunda Highway for about 1 kilometer. Look for the signs directing you to Nature Trail. When you reach Wandelpad, turn right. Nature Trail will be on your left as you approach.

From your location in Bakau, you can take a local taxi or 'Gele-Gele' to Serrekunda. Tell the driver you want to go to the Nature Trail or to the Serrekunda Highway. Once you arrive at the Serrekunda Highway, you can walk the remaining distance. Head north on the Serrekunda Highway for about 1 kilometer, and then turn right onto Wandelpad. Nature Trail will be on your left.
