Walking
From Bakau, start by heading towards the main road, Kairaba Avenue. Once you reach Kairaba Avenue, turn left and continue walking for about 1.5 kilometers until you reach the junction with the Senegambia Strip. Continue straight on Kairaba Avenue until you arrive at the junction near the Senegambia Hotel. From there, you will see signs pointing towards Banjul. Follow the signs and continue walking towards the ferry terminal.
Walking to the Ferry Terminal
Once you arrive at the ferry terminal area, you will need to purchase a ticket to cross over to Banjul. The ferry terminal is well-marked and usually has people around to assist if you have questions. Make sure to check the ferry schedule for crossing times. After purchasing your ticket, board the ferry and enjoy the scenic ride across the river.
Walking from the Ferry Terminal in Banjul
Upon arriving in Banjul, disembark from the ferry and head towards the beach area. You can ask locals for directions to Banjul beach or follow the waterfront path.
