From Jokadu, head southeast on the main road towards Serrekunda. Continue driving until you reach the junction with the Banjul-Serekunda Highway (also known as the Trans-Gambia Highway). Turn left onto this highway and continue for about 15 kilometers. Take the exit towards Kotu Beach. Follow the signs to Kotu, where you will find Bakotu birdwatch point located at F77W+7H7. Parking is available nearby, but be mindful of local parking regulations.

To reach Bakotu birdwatch point using public transport, take a 'Gele-Gele' (shared taxi) from Jokadu to Serrekunda. The fare typically ranges from 15 to 30 Dalasi. Ask the driver to drop you off at the Kotu Beach area. From there, you can either walk or take a local bike taxi (which may cost around 50 Dalasi) to Bakotu birdwatch point at F77W+7H7. Be sure to confirm the fare before starting your bike taxi ride.
