    If you are driving from Kanifing, head east on Kairaba Avenue towards the junction with the Bertil Harding Highway (A1). Turn left onto the Bertil Harding Highway and continue driving for about 15 km. After passing through the town of Bakau, look for signs towards Bafuloto. Turn right onto a smaller road leading to Bafuloto and follow this road for approximately 5 km. You will see signs for Makasutu National Park along the way. Keep an eye out for the entrance on your left.

    To reach Makasutu via public transportation, find a bush taxi heading towards Bakau or Brikama from Kanifing. You can catch these taxis at designated taxi stands or along major roads. The fare is usually around 20-30 dalasi (GMD). Inform the driver that you want to get off near Bafuloto. Once you arrive near Bafuloto, you may need to walk or take a local taxi for the remaining distance of about 2 km to reach Makasutu National Park. It’s advisable to ask locals for directions to the entrance if you are unsure.
