Getting There

  • Car

    If you are driving from the main entrance of Kiang East National Park, head south on the main road towards Kartong for approximately 20 kilometers. Continue straight until you reach Kartong Highway. The Gambian Reptiles Farm will be on your right side, just off the highway. Look for the signs indicating the Reptile Farm. Parking is available on-site.

  • Public Transportation

    Take a shared taxi or 'Gele-Gele' from any major point in Kiang East National Park towards Kartong. The fare is typically around 100 Dalasi per person. Inform the driver that you are going to the Gambian Reptiles Farm. Once you arrive at Kartong, walk a short distance to the Gambian Reptiles Farm located along the Kartong Highway. It should be visible from the road, and it’s approximately a 10-minute walk from where the taxi drops you off.

  • Walking (from Kartong)

    If you are already in the town of Kartong, you can walk to The Gambian Reptiles Farm. Head east on the main road towards Kartong Highway. Walk for about 1 kilometer, and you will see the Gambian Reptiles Farm on your left. The walk will take approximately 15-20 minutes.
