Getting There

Walking
Starting from the Aileu Market (Mercado de Aileu), head southeast on R. de Pante Makassar for about 200 meters until you reach the junction. Turn left onto R. de Aileu and continue walking for approximately 1 kilometer. You will notice a series of small shops and local vendors along the way. Continue straight until you reach the intersection with R. de Lecidere. At this point, turn right onto R. de Lecidere and walk for another 500 meters. The Xanana Gusmão Reading Room will be on your left side, next to a local café.

If you prefer cycling, start at the Aileu Market (Mercado de Aileu) and head southeast on R. de Pante Makassar. After 200 meters, turn left onto R. de Aileu. Continue cycling straight for about 1 kilometer. Once you reach the intersection with R. de Lecidere, turn right and cycle for approximately 500 meters. The Xanana Gusmão Reading Room will be located on your left, adjacent to a small café.
