Walking
From the center of Bobonaro, head towards the main road leading south. Continue walking straight until you reach the junction with the main highway (Avenida Presidente Nicolau Lobato). At this junction, turn left and continue walking for approximately 2 kilometers. You will pass a few local shops and cafes along the way. After reaching the roundabout, take the second exit onto Avenida 20 de Setembro. Continue straight for about 1 kilometer until you see Tais Market on your right. The market is easily recognizable by its vibrant stalls and the busy atmosphere.
Bicycle
If you prefer to ride a bicycle, start from the center of Bobonaro and head towards the main road leading south. Follow the same route as if you were walking, but maintain a steady pace on your bike. You will have a more enjoyable ride as you pass by the local scenery. When you reach the main highway, turn left and continue until you reach the roundabout. Take the second exit onto Avenida 20 de Setembro and keep cycling for about 1 kilometer. Tais Market will be on your right, and you'll notice the colorful market stalls from a distance.
Public Transport
To get to Tais Market using public transport, find a local minibus that operates from Bobonaro to Dili. These minibuses are typically parked near the central square. Board the minibus and inform the driver you want to go to Tais Market. The journey will take approximately 30-40 minutes depending on traffic. Once you arrive in Dili, get off near the main road and walk towards Avenida 20 de Setembro. Tais Market is located about 10 minutes on foot from the drop-off point, and you can ask locals for directions if needed.
