Getting There

  • Walking

    From the center of Ermera, head southeast towards the main road (Avenida 20 de Setembro). Continue walking straight for about 1.5 kilometers until you reach the junction with the road leading towards Ainaro. Turn left onto this road and follow it for approximately 3 kilometers. You will pass several small villages along the way. When you reach the town of Ainaro, look for signs indicating the direction to Tutuala. Follow these signs, and after about 5 kilometers, you will see a sign for Nino Konis Santana National Park. The park entrance is a short walk from the main road.

  • Public Transport (Bus)

    From the main bus terminal in Ermera, take a bus heading towards Ainaro. Buses leave frequently, and the ride will take about 45 minutes. Once you arrive in Ainaro, ask locals for the bus heading to Tutuala. Once you reach Tutuala, you can either walk or take a local taxi to the park entrance, which is approximately 4 kilometers away. Follow the main road until you see signs for Nino Konis Santana National Park.

    If you choose to bicycle, start in the center of Ermera and head southeast on Avenida 20 de Setembro. Cycle straight for about 1.5 kilometers to the junction with the road to Ainaro. Turn left and continue cycling for about 3 kilometers. After reaching Ainaro, you can take a right turn towards Tutuala, following the signs. The total distance from Ermera to the park is approximately 9 kilometers, and it can be a scenic ride through the countryside.
