Getting There

Car
From Bassar, take the main road heading southeast towards Fazao. Continue on this road for approximately 30 kilometers until you reach the junction for Fazao. At the junction, turn right and follow the signs towards Mount Klouto. Drive for about 10 kilometers until you see a sign for Mount Klouto on your left. There is no entrance fee for the area, but it's advisable to have some local currency for any small purchases you might make nearby.

Public Transportation (Taxi-Brousse)
Head to the central taxi-brousse station in Bassar. Look for a taxi-brousse heading to Fazao, which will usually depart when full. The fare is approximately 500 CFA francs. Inform the driver that you want to get off at the Mount Klouto stop. The journey will take around 45 minutes to an hour. Once you arrive at the Mount Klouto stop, follow the dirt road towards the mountain, which is about a 10-minute walk. Be prepared to pay a small fee for local guides if you choose to hire one for the hike.

If you're feeling adventurous, you can take a motorbike taxi (zemidjan) from Bassar to Mount Klouto. Negotiate the fare beforehand, which should be around 2000 CFA francs. The ride will take approximately 30 minutes. The driver will drop you off at the foot of the mountain, where you can start your hike. Be sure to wear a helmet and agree on the return trip with the driver.
