If you're traveling by car within Central Region, begin your journey by heading towards the main road leading to Lake Togo. From the city of Lomé, take the N1 road heading north. After approximately 40 km, follow the signs for Lake Togo. The lake is about 7 km off the main road. You will encounter a sign indicating the direction to Lake Togo, where you can turn onto a smaller road leading directly to the lakeside. Ensure to watch for local traffic and road conditions, as they can vary.
Public Transportation
To reach Lake Togo via public transportation, first make your way to the main bus station in Lomé. Look for buses or shared taxis heading to the town of Togoville, which is located near the lake. The fare for this trip is typically around 1,500 CFA francs. The journey takes about 1 hour. Once you arrive in Togoville, you can either walk or take a local motorcycle taxi (known as 'zemidjan') to the lakeside. The motorcycle taxi fare is usually around 500 CFA francs.
