From Dapaong, start your journey by heading southeast on Avenue de la République. Continue straight for about 3 kilometers until you reach the intersection with Route N1. Turn left onto Route N1 and follow it for approximately 20 kilometers. You will pass through several small villages on your way. Look for the signs indicating Timbou. Once you reach the Timbou area, follow the local signs to Barrage de Timbou, which is located at coordinates 11.0349071, 0.1266931.

To reach Barrage de Timbou using public transport, go to the main taxi-brousse station in Dapaong, located near the market. The journey may take about 30 minutes to 1 hour, depending on stops. Once you arrive in Timbou, you can either walk or take a local motorcycle taxi (known as 'zemidjan') to Barrage de Timbou. Make sure to negotiate the fare, which should be around 500 CFA Francs.
