If you are starting from the central market (Marche de Lomé), head east on Avenue du Général de Gaulle toward Rue des Frères. Continue straight until you reach Avenue 2 Fevrier. Turn left onto Avenue 2 Fevrier and walk for about 15 minutes. The Independence Monument will be on your right. Look for the tall monument with a green dome.

From the beach area near Plage de Lomé, rent a bicycle and head north on Rue du Professeur Gérard Dossou. Continue straight until you reach Avenue 2 Fevrier. Turn left and cycle for about 10 minutes. The Independence Monument will be on your left as you approach the main road.

Find a taxi-brousse (shared taxi) at the central market or any major bus station. Take a taxi-brousse heading toward Tokoin. Ask the driver to drop you off at the Avenue 2 Fevrier stop. From there, walk about 5 minutes to the east, and you will see the Independence Monument ahead.
