Getting There

Walking
From the center of Foa, head west towards the beach. You will want to take the path that leads to Hihifo Rd. Continue walking on Hihifo Rd for about 1.5 kilometers. You will pass several local shops and homes along the way. Keep an eye out for the signs directing you to Ha'atafu. When you reach the intersection with Hihifo Rd, look for a sign indicating Abel Tasman's Landing Site. The entrance will be on your left. Follow the path leading to the site.

If you have rented a bicycle, start from the main square in Foa. Cycle towards Hihifo Rd, which is located to the west of the square. Once on Hihifo Rd, continue straight for approximately 1.5 kilometers. You'll notice the road is fairly flat, making it easy to ride. As you approach the landmark, look for the sign for Abel Tasman's Landing Site on the left side of the road. Park your bicycle at the designated area and walk the short distance to the site.
