Car
If you are driving from Nuku'alofa, take the main road heading towards Ohonua. The journey will take approximately 1.5 hours. Once you arrive in Ohonua, continue on the main road until you reach the area near P32M+QJM. Look for the signs indicating Fangatave Caves. There is parking available near the caves.
Public Transportation
To reach Fangatave Caves via public transportation, take a bus from Nuku'alofa to Ohonua. Buses run regularly throughout the day and the fare is typically around 5 TOP (Tongan Paʻanga). Once you arrive in Ohonua, you may need to hire a taxi or a local tour guide to take you to the caves, as they are not within walking distance from the bus stop. Expect to pay around 10-20 TOP for the taxi ride.
Walking
If you are near the vicinity of Ohonua and prefer to walk, you can reach Fangatave Caves by heading towards the coordinates P32M+QJM. The walk may take around 30 minutes from the central area of Ohonua, but ensure you have proper directions or a local map as the paths may not be clearly marked.
