Car
From Asa Wright Nature Centre, exit the property and head southeast on the road leading out of the Nature Centre. Follow the signs for Blanchisseuse Road. Continue on this road for approximately 5 kilometers until you reach the junction. At the junction, take a left turn onto the Verdant Vale Road. Proceed for about 1 kilometer, and you will see a small parking area on the right. Park your car here as this is the closest access point for the hiking trail to Tombasson Waterfall.

After parking your car, look for the marked trailhead that leads to Tombasson Waterfall. The hike will take approximately 30-45 minutes, depending on your pace. The trail is well-defined but can be steep in places, so it’s advisable to wear sturdy hiking shoes. Follow the trail as it winds through the lush rainforest, and enjoy the diverse flora and fauna along the way. Keep an eye out for signs directing you to the waterfall. Once you reach the waterfall, take time to enjoy the serene atmosphere and the natural beauty of the area.

If you prefer public transportation, you can take a taxi from Asa Wright Nature Centre to the nearest town, where you can catch a minibus heading towards Blanchisseuse. Inform the driver you want to get off at Verdant Vale Road. The fare should be around $5-$10 TT. Once you reach Verdant Vale, you may need to walk approximately 1 kilometer to reach the trailhead for Tombasson Waterfall. Make sure to confirm with the driver about the drop-off point to ensure you get off at the correct location.
