Walking
If you are in the heart of Couva, start by heading to the main road, which is the Southern Main Road (also known as the Uriah Butler Highway). Once there, head east towards the Couva/Point Lisas area. Continue walking until you reach the junction with the Orange Grove Road. At that junction, turn left onto Orange Grove Road. Keep walking for about 1.5 kilometers. The Caroni Bird Sanctuary will be on your left at 65 Orange Grove Rd. Look for signs indicating the sanctuary as you walk.

From Couva, you can catch a public bus heading towards Chaguanas. These buses frequently run along the Southern Main Road. Inform the driver that you would like to get off at the Orange Grove Road junction. Once you reach the junction, exit the bus and walk along Orange Grove Road for about 1.5 kilometers. The Caroni Bird Sanctuary will be on your left at 65 Orange Grove Rd.
