Getting There

Bus
From Couva, head to the nearest bus stop at the Couva Junction. Look for a bus that is headed towards San Fernando or the Mon Desir route. The bus ride will take approximately 30-40 minutes. Ask the driver to drop you off at the Waterfall Road stop. Once you get off the bus, walk straight along Waterfall Road for about 10 minutes until you reach the Maracas Waterfall entrance. It will be on your right.

Taxi
You can also take a taxi. Find a taxi stand at Couva Junction or hail a taxi on the road. Tell the driver you want to go to Maracas Waterfall. The journey should take around 20-30 minutes depending on traffic. The driver will take you directly to the waterfall entrance on Waterfall Road.

Walking
If you are feeling adventurous and are located close enough to the area, you could walk to Maracas Waterfall. From Couva, head towards the main road and follow the signs towards San Fernando. It will be a long walk of about 1.5 to 2 hours, so ensure you are prepared with water and comfortable shoes. Once you reach Waterfall Road, follow it to the entrance of Maracas Waterfall.
