From San Fernando, head towards the San Fernando Bus Terminal located on High Street. Look for buses that head towards Chaguanas or Orange Grove. These buses typically have signs indicating their destination. Once you board the bus, inform the driver that you are going to 'Caroni Bird Sanctuary' or 'Orange Grove Road'. The bus will take you towards your destination. Keep an eye out for the stop at Orange Grove Road, which is the most convenient drop-off point for the sanctuary. From the bus stop, walk approximately 5 minutes down Orange Grove Road, and you will see the entrance to the Caroni Bird Sanctuary on your right.

If you prefer a more comfortable ride, you can take a taxi from anywhere in San Fernando. You can find taxis near the San Fernando Bus Terminal or hail one on the street. Make sure to specify your destination as 'Caroni Bird Sanctuary' located at 65 Orange Grove Road. The journey should take about 20-30 minutes, depending on traffic. The driver will drop you off directly at the entrance of the sanctuary.

If you are staying close to the Caroni Bird Sanctuary, you can also consider walking. Start from the center of San Fernando and head north towards the San Fernando Hill. Continue on the main road towards the east until you reach the intersection with Orange Grove Road. Turn left onto Orange Grove Road and walk straight. The sanctuary will be located along this road. This walk is approximately 4-5 kilometers and can take about 45 minutes to an hour, depending on your pace.
