Getting there

Car

To reach Dougga by car, start in Tunis and head west on the A1 highway towards Béja. Continue on the A1 until you reach Béja, then take the exit towards Testour. Follow the signs to Dougga, which is located approximately 25 kilometers from Béja. There is a parking area near the entrance of the archaeological site where visitors can leave their car.

Public Transportation

To reach Dougga by public transportation, take a train or bus from Tunis to Béja. From Béja, you can take a taxi or hire a local guide to take you to Dougga. The journey from Béja to Dougga by taxi takes about 30 minutes. Alternatively, you can also take a shared taxi or a local bus from Béja to the nearest village to Dougga and then walk to the archaeological site.
