Car
From Chott el Jerid, head southeast on Route Nationale 2 (RN2) towards Ghlissia. Continue on RN2 for approximately 50 kilometers. Once you reach Ghlissia, look for the signs directing you to Deserto del Sahara. The exact location is at latitude 33.4203263 and longitude 9.0627487, just off the main road. Parking is available nearby, and the scenery along the way offers stunning views of the desert landscape.
Public Transportation
Start at the Chott el Jerid bus terminal and take a local bus heading towards Ghlissia. The journey will take about 1-1.5 hours, depending on the bus schedule. Once you arrive in Ghlissia, ask the bus driver or locals for directions to Deserto del Sahara, which is located at C3C7+43. It is a short walk from the bus stop, approximately 1 kilometer. Be sure to check the bus schedule for your return trip, as services may be limited in the evening.
Taxi
If you prefer a more direct route, you can hire a taxi from Chott el Jerid to Deserto del Sahara. Negotiate the fare beforehand; it should cost around 40-60 Tunisian Dinar for the trip. The taxi will take you directly to the location at C3C7+43, Ghlissia. This option is ideal for those traveling in a group or looking for convenience.
