Walking
If you are in Houmt Souk, start at the central market (Medina). From there, head southeast towards Avenue de la République. Continue walking straight for about 1.5 kilometers until you reach the intersection with Rue de l'Indépendance. Turn right onto Rue de l'Indépendance and keep walking for approximately 500 meters until you see the signs for El Gayed. Continue straight for another 2 kilometers until you reach the RW8X+Q8R area where Palais Ben AYED is located.
Public Transport
From Houmt Souk, locate the nearest bus station where you can catch a local bus heading towards El Gayed. Once you board the bus, stay on for about 20-30 minutes, depending on traffic. Ask the bus driver to alert you when you reach El Gayed. After you disembark, walk towards the RW8X+Q8R coordinates, which should be about a 10-minute walk from the bus stop.
Bicycle
If you prefer to cycle, rent a bicycle from a local shop in Houmt Souk. Head towards Avenue de la République, then follow it southeast for about 1.5 kilometers. When you reach Rue de l'Indépendance, turn right and continue for about 500 meters. Then turn left to follow the signs to El Gayed. The total distance is roughly 4 kilometers, and the route is relatively flat, making it a pleasant ride.
