Getting There

• Car

  If you're traveling by car in Kairouan, start from the center of the city, specifically from the Great Mosque of Kairouan, which is a well-known landmark. From the mosque, head southeast on Avenue Habib Bourguiba for about 1.5 km. At the roundabout, take the first exit onto Rue Sidi Gaid. Continue straight for approximately 500 meters, and you will find Mausoleé Sidi Amor Abada on your left. Parking may be limited near the mausoleum, so consider parking in a nearby area and walking the last few meters.

• Public Transportation

  For those using public transportation, you can take a local taxi or a 'louage' (shared taxi) from the main taxi station in Kairouan, located near the train station. Ask the driver to take you to Rue Sidi Gaid. The fare should be around 3-5 Tunisian Dinars. Once you arrive on Rue Sidi Gaid, the mausoleum is just a short walk down the street. The mausoleum is about a 15-minute walk from the mosque, and you will find it on your left. Enjoy the scenic views of the historic streets as you walk.
