From Monastir, head to the bus station located near the city center. Look for a bus heading towards Mahdia; the journey typically takes about 30 minutes. Buses run frequently, so you shouldn’t have to wait long. Once you arrive at the Mahdia bus station, exit the station and head towards Avenue Habib Bourguiba. Follow this avenue straight until you reach the Medina of Mahdia, which is located approximately 1.5 kilometers from the bus station.

At the Monastir taxi station, look for the shared taxi (louage) to Mahdia. These taxis leave when they are full and the ride takes around 30 minutes. Upon arriving at the Mahdia taxi station, you can walk towards Avenue Habib Bourguiba and continue straight to reach the Medina of Mahdia, which is about 1.5 kilometers away.
