Getting There

  • Train

    From the central Tunis train station (Gare de Tunis), take the suburban train towards Carthage. Look for the train line that goes to 'Carthage' or 'Carthage Hannibal' which is well indicated. The ride takes approximately 15 minutes. Disembark at the Carthage station. From there, follow the signs towards 'Site archéologique de Carthage'.

  • Walking

    If you are already in the Carthage area, you can reach the site by walking. From the Carthage train station, head east towards Rue des Remparts. Continue straight until you reach the intersection with La Goulette Rd. Turn left onto La Goulette Rd and continue walking until you see the entrance to the archaeological site on your right. This walk takes about 10-15 minutes.

  • Bus

    From central Tunis, take bus number 100 from the main bus station or any stop along Avenue Habib Bourguiba. The bus is marked for Carthage. After about 30 minutes, get off at the stop near the entrance of the archaeological site. You will see signs directing you to the 'Site archéologique de Carthage'. The site is just a short walk from the bus stop.
