Getting There
Walking
If you are staying in Fethiye city center, start by heading towards the main road, 'Atatürk Caddesi.' Walk along this road until you reach the roundabout. Here, you will find signs pointing to Kayaköy. Follow the signs and take the road leading out of town towards Kayaköy. As you walk, you will pass by local shops and cafes. Continue straight on this road for about 4 km (approximately 50 minutes on foot). When you approach Kayaköy, the road will lead you directly into the village. Keep an eye out for signs to 'Akvaryum Bay' as you enter.
Dolmuş (minibus)
From Fethiye, head to the dolmuş station, which is located near the main bus station. Look for the dolmuş that has 'Kayaköy' written on it. The fare is usually around 5-10 Turkish Lira. The dolmuş will take you directly to Kayaköy, and the journey takes about 20-30 minutes. Once you arrive in Kayaköy, you can ask the driver to drop you off near the entrance to the village. From there, it's a short walk towards Akvaryum Bay - simply follow the signs or ask locals for directions.
Bicycle Rental
If you prefer cycling, you can rent a bicycle from any of the rental shops in Fethiye. Head out towards the main road, 'Atatürk Caddesi,' and follow the same route as for walking. The ride to Kayaköy is approximately 4 km and should take around 20-25 minutes. Once you reach Kayaköy, park your bicycle in a safe area and continue walking towards Akvaryum Bay, which is accessible on foot.
