Public Transport - Tram
If you are near Taksim Square, take the Taksim Metro (M2) towards Yenikapı. At the Yenikapı station, transfer to the Marmaray line and head towards Halkalı. Get off at the Sirkeci station. From Sirkeci, walk towards the tram stop and board the Tram T1 towards Bağcılar. Get off at the Sultanahmet stop. Once you exit the tram, head towards the direction of the Blue Mosque. Cistern Art Gallery is located on Nakilbent Street, number 6, just a short walk from the mosque.

If you are already in the Sultanahmet area, you can easily walk to Cistern Art Gallery. From the Hagia Sophia, head towards the Blue Mosque, which is directly across the street.
