Experience Sultanahmet Square

Getting There

    If you are already in the Sultanahmet area, walking is the best way to reach Sultanahmet Square. From any major landmark, such as the Hagia Sophia or the Blue Mosque, you can easily find your way to the square. Simply head towards the Sultan Ahmet Park located at Binbirdirek, Sultan Ahmet Parkı No:2. The park is adjacent to the square, and you will see signs directing you. The walk will take approximately 5-10 minutes depending on your starting point.

  • Public Transport (Tram)

    If you are coming from a farther location, you can take the T1 tram line. Board the tram at any stop on this line, such as Kabataş or Beyazıt. Ensure you get off at the Sultanahmet stop. From the tram stop, it is a short walk (about 5 minutes). Head towards the direction of the Hagia Sophia; Sultanahmet Square is right next to it. Tickets for the tram cost around 15 Turkish Lira (TL). You can purchase tickets at kiosks or vending machines at the tram stops.
