Getting There

    If you are in the city center, head to the nearest bus station. Look for the bus stop for line 39 or 40, which will take you towards Kadifekale. Board the bus and enjoy the ride, which should take about 15-20 minutes. Get off at the 'Kadifekale' bus stop. From there, follow the signs that lead you up the hill to the fortress. The path is well-marked and will take you directly to Kadifekale.

    From the central square of Konak (Konak Meydanı), walk towards the İzmir Clock Tower. Keep the tower on your right and head towards the main street (Cumhuriyet Boulevard). After about 10 minutes of walking, you will reach the junction with 5271. Sk. Turn left onto 5271. Sk and continue walking uphill for about 15 minutes. You will see signs guiding you to Kadifekale. The walk is scenic, offering views of the city.

    You can easily find a taxi at any major square or hotel in Izmir. Simply tell the driver 'Kadifekale' or show them the address: '5271. Sk. 9-11, 35270 Konak/İzmir'.
