Car
If you're traveling by car, set your GPS to Salacak, 34668 Üsküdar, İstanbul. From the city center of Istanbul, take the coastal road (D100) toward Üsküdar. Upon arriving in Üsküdar, look for signs pointing to the Maiden's Tower area. You may find parking options nearby, but be prepared for potential parking fees. After parking, walk towards the waterfront where you will see the Maiden's Tower on a small islet just offshore.
Public Transportation - Metro and Bus
To reach Maiden's Tower using public transportation, take the M4 Metro line to Üsküdar station. Once at Üsküdar, exit the station and walk to the nearby bus terminal. You can catch a bus or a dolmuş (minibus) that goes to Salacak. The bus ride is typically short, about 10-15 minutes. After getting off, walk towards the waterfront, where you can see the Maiden's Tower. This method usually costs around 15-20 Turkish Lira for the metro and bus combined.
Ferry
Another scenic way to reach Maiden's Tower is by taking a ferry. From different parts of Istanbul, including Eminönü or Kadıköy, you can take a ferry to Üsküdar. After disembarking at Üsküdar, walk towards the waterfront, which will lead you to the Maiden's Tower. The ferry ride offers beautiful views of the Bosphorus and costs approximately 15 Turkish Lira.
Combination of Public Transport and Walking
If you're coming from other districts in Istanbul, you can combine various public transport options. For example, take the tram from Sultanahmet to Kabataş, then transfer to the funicular up to Taksim. From Taksim, take the bus or a taxi down to Üsküdar. Once there, walk towards Salacak to reach the Maiden's Tower. Be aware the total cost for this journey can vary, but expect to spend around 30-50 Turkish Lira depending on your route.
