Bus
From Pamukkale, head to the main bus station located near the entrance to the travertines. Look for the signs directing you to the bus station. Once at the bus station, purchase a ticket for a bus heading to Denizli. The buses leave frequently, so you shouldn't have to wait too long. The journey to Denizli takes about 30 minutes. Upon arrival in Denizli, exit the bus terminal and head to the intercity bus station (Otogar) located nearby. You can take a taxi or a dolmuş (shared minibus) to reach the Otogar. Once at the Otogar, buy a ticket for an intercity bus to Istanbul. Buses to Istanbul are frequent and the trip takes approximately 12 hours, depending on traffic.

From Pamukkale, make your way to the nearest train station in Denizli, which is about 20 km away. You can take a taxi or a dolmuş to reach the Denizli train station. Once there, purchase a ticket for a train to Istanbul. Be sure to check the train schedule as trains may not run frequently. The train ride to Istanbul can take around 10 to 12 hours, depending on the service.
