Car
From the center of the Köpetdag Mountains, take the main road heading southeast towards Koyten. Follow the road for approximately 30 kilometers. As you approach the village of Koyten, keep an eye out for the signs indicating Koytendag Nature Reserve. The entrance to the reserve is located at RG25+92R, Koyten, Turkmenistan. There may be a small entrance fee to access the reserve, so be prepared for that.

Public Transportation
If you prefer public transportation, start by taking a marshrutka (shared taxi) from Ashgabat to Koyten. The journey typically takes around 2-3 hours depending on traffic and stops. Once you arrive in Koyten, you can either walk or take a local taxi to reach the entrance of Koytendag Nature Reserve at RG25+92R. Confirm the fare with the taxi driver beforehand to avoid any surprises.

If you are already in Koyten and prefer to walk, head towards the main road leading out of the village. From the village center, it's about a 5 km walk to the entrance of Koytendag Nature Reserve. Follow the road signs and be cautious of traffic. Make sure to carry enough water and wear comfortable shoes for the walk.
