Getting There

  • Car

    From Leeward Beach, start by heading southwest on Leeward Highway (Road 2). Continue for approximately 5 minutes (about 3 miles) until you reach Heaving Down Rock. Mako Watersports will be on your right at Heaving Down Rock, Leeward Hwy, TKCA 1ZZ. Be sure to look for the signage indicating Mako Watersports.

  • Public Transportation

    If you prefer public transportation, you can take a local bus from Leeward Beach to the nearest bus stop along Leeward Highway. Buses usually travel along the highway and have a cost of around $2-3 USD per person. Inform the driver that you wish to get off at Heaving Down Rock. Once you disembark, Mako Watersports is just a short walk (about 5 minutes) down the highway. Look for the water sports equipment rental service on your right.

  • Walking

    If you are close to Heaving Down Rock in Leeward Beach, you can also walk. Head west on Leeward Highway. It’s approximately a 15-minute walk (about 0.75 miles). Stay on the designated sidewalks where available, and be cautious of traffic. Mako Watersports will be on your right side as you approach.
