Car
If you're driving from Ankole to Kabaka's Palace, head north on the Mbarara-Kampala Road (A104). After approximately 220 km, you will reach Kampala. As you approach the city, follow signs for the city center. Once in Kampala, keep an eye out for Lubiri Ring Road. The palace is located at The Twekobe, Lubiri Ring Road, Rubaga Division. Parking is available nearby, but be prepared for traffic congestion, especially during peak hours.
Public Transport (Bus)
To reach Kabaka's Palace using public transport, take a bus from Mbarara to Kampala. Buses frequently depart from the Mbarara bus terminal and the journey takes about 3-4 hours. Once you arrive at the Kampala bus terminal, you can take a taxi or a boda-boda (motorcycle taxi) to Lubiri Ring Road. It's advisable to negotiate the fare beforehand, typically around 10,000-20,000 UGX for a taxi. Ensure you tell the driver your destination clearly.

If you're already in Kampala and need to get to Kabaka's Palace, you can hire a boda-boda from your current location. Simply ask for a ride to The Twekobe, Lubiri Ring Road. The fare will depend on your starting point but expect to pay around 5,000-15,000 UGX. Make sure to wear a helmet and confirm the price before starting the journey.
Walking (from nearby transport hubs)
If you find yourself near the city center of Kampala after using public transport, you can walk to Kabaka's Palace. From the city center, head southwest on Jinja Road, then turn left onto Lubiri Ring Road. The palace is approximately a 20-30 minute walk from the city center.
