Getting There

Car
If you are driving from Mbale, take the Mbale-Kapchorwa road (also known as the Budadiri Road). This scenic route will take you through beautiful landscapes. After approximately 30 km, you will reach Kapchorwa town. Continue straight through the town and follow the signs towards Sipi Falls. The road will lead you to Chebonet, where Sipi Falls is located. The total distance from Mbale is about 50 km and can take around 1.5 hours depending on road conditions.

Public Transportation
From Mbale, head to the Mbale bus station and catch a shared taxi (matatu) heading to Kapchorwa. This shared taxi ride typically costs around 10,000 UGX and takes about 1 hour. Once you arrive in Kapchorwa, you can hire a motorcycle taxi (boda boda) to take you to Sipi Falls for approximately 15,000-20,000 UGX. The boda boda ride will last about 30 minutes and will take you directly to Chebonet, where Sipi Falls is located.
