Once there, look for signs directing you to the Equator. Continue along Kampala-Entebbe Road, and you will see signs for the Equator approximately 6 kilometers down the road. The landmark is well-marked, making it difficult to miss.
Bicycle
Rent a bicycle from one of the rental shops in Entebbe. Start your ride by heading towards the Kampala-Entebbe Road. Follow this road, cycling westward. Keep an eye out for the Equator signs, which will guide you. The distance is about 6 kilometers, and it should take around 30 minutes to reach the Equator from the city center. Enjoy the scenery along the way!
Public Transport (Boda Boda)
To reach the Equator using a Boda Boda (motorcycle taxi), find a Boda Boda stand in Entebbe. Negotiate the fare with the driver and inform them you want to go to the Equator. The ride should take about 15 minutes depending on traffic. Boda Boda riders are familiar with the location, so you don’t need to worry about directions.
Public Transport (Matatu)
You can take a matatu (shared minibus) from Entebbe to Kampala. Board a matatu that is heading towards Kampala, and ask the conductor to drop you off at the Equator stop, which is well-known among drivers and conductors. Once dropped off, you will see the Equator landmark nearby. The journey takes about 20-30 minutes.
