Bicycle
If you're in the center of Masaka, rent a bicycle from one of the local shops. Start at the Masaka Main Market and head towards the Masaka-Kyotera Road. Follow this road for about 5 km until you reach the junction for the Kampala-Masaka Road (also known as the Masaka-Bukakata Road). Turn left and continue for approximately 2 km. Look for signage directing you towards Camp Ndegeya on your right. Follow the path leading up to the retreat center.
Walking
From the Masaka Main Market, begin your journey on foot towards the Masaka-Kyotera Road. Walk straight for about 5 km until you reach the intersection with the Kampala-Masaka Road. At this junction, turn left and proceed for another 2 km. Keep an eye out for signs indicating Camp Ndegeya, which will be on your right. Follow the path leading directly into the camp.
Boda Boda (Motorcycle Taxi)
To use a boda boda, find a boda boda stage near the Masaka Main Market. Inform the driver that you want to go to Camp Ndegeya. They will take you along the Masaka-Kyotera Road, where you will go straight for about 5 km. The driver will turn left onto the Kampala-Masaka Road and continue for about 2 km. Look for the signs for Camp Ndegeya on the right, and they will drop you off at the entrance.
Public Transport (Matatu)
From the Masaka Main Market, take a matatu heading towards Kyotera. Be sure to tell the conductor you want to get off at the junction for the Kampala-Masaka Road. After approximately 20 minutes, get off at the junction and walk for about 2 km along the Kampala-Masaka Road. Look for signs for Camp Ndegeya on your right and follow the path to reach the retreat center.
