Continue for about 25 kilometers until you reach the entrance to the park at the Budadiri trailhead. There is a gate at the entrance where you will need to pay an entry fee of approximately UGX 20,000 (about $5 USD) per person. Make sure to carry cash in Ugandan Shillings as cards may not be accepted.

For those using public transportation, take a bus or a shared taxi from Kampala to Mbale. The journey will take around 4-5 hours. Once in Mbale, you can take a boda-boda (motorcycle taxi) to the Budadiri trailhead. The fare for a boda-boda ride to the park entrance is typically around UGX 10,000 - 15,000 ($2.50 - $4 USD). Be sure to negotiate the fare before starting your journey.
