From the main entrance of Rwenzori Mountains National Park, head towards the town of Kasese on the main road. Continue on this road for approximately 35 kilometers. After reaching Kasese, take the signposted road to Kibale. Follow this road for about 45 kilometers until you reach Kibale National Park. Once you enter Kibale, look for signs directing you to the Chimpanzee tracking area, which is well-marked. There may be a small fee for entering the national park, typically around $40 USD for foreign tourists, which is payable at the entrance.

Public Transportation
From your location in Rwenzori Mountains National Park, take a taxi or matatu (shared minibus) to Kasese town. Once in Kasese, you can find a matatu heading to Kibale National Park. The fare from Kasese to Kibale is generally around 10,000 UGX (about $3 USD). Ask the driver to drop you off at the Chimpanzee tracking area in Kibale National Park. Note that matatus may not run frequently, so it's advisable to check the schedule in advance.
